School House: This building was established from the remodeled Rappite/Harmonist church in 1874 see MSS 247-5130. It stood where Church Park is now located at the corner of Church and West Streets. This is the original school, sometime just after the Rappite Church was demolished in 1874, before the west side and cupola additions, these additions were made at some point between 1893 and 1899. The building behind it, on the left, was clipped and inserted into the photo as an embellishment and did not exist at this location.
