West Street Log Cabins: These buildings are now located along the southwest corner of North and West Streets. They were created from the John Spencer log house in Crossville, Illinois which was dismantled and transferred to New Harmony, Indiana. The logs from the house were used to reconstruct the West Street Log Cabins. This photo shows an outbuilding which was located close to the house, the logs of which were also used in the construction of the cabins.
