At this time the old burial ground was also given to the church, which was bought back by the Rappites in 1846. Then in 1850 the Episcopals sold the west wing of the old Rappite Church for $1000 and in 1854 St. Stephens Church was constructed, the North Street location where the Lenz House now resides.1888 saw the construction of a new belfry add to the church to accommodate the new bell. In 1911 the new church was built, and an addition was made to it in 1927. The church is still present as of 2022. This photo shows the present church as it was under construction. 001547851 542__ $$fhttp://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC-NC/1.0/ 001547851 6531_ $$aBinder 09 001547851 6531_ $$aTown Map 3E/SW 001547851 6531_ $$aCommunal Studies 001547851 6531_ $$aPhotographs 001547851 6531_ $$aRegional History 001547851 6531_ $$aRelated Materials -- n.d. 001547851 655__ $$aBlack and White Slide 001547851 691__ $$aIndiana 001547851 7001_ $$aHistoric New Harmony 001547851 8564_ $$9601e7c0f-a6ad-4ec5-963b-4aade5f365c7$$s1371499$$uhttps://library.usi.edu/record/1547851/files/1432.jp2 001547851 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1547851$$pGLOBAL_SET 001547851 914__ $$ap17218coll9 001547851 980__ $$aHistoric New Harmony Slide Collection 001547851 984__ $$aHistoric New Harmony Slide Collection 001547851 985__ $$aImage
