Continental Emsco Company: This building was located on the plat just west of 723 E. Church Street and was dismantled to accommodate the Golden House which was later moved onto this plat. The Continental Emsco Company was incorporated June 4, 1946 in the state of Texas, and dissolution of the company occurred January 31, 1984. The company was in the business of drilling oil wells. This photo shows the empty building plat facing north toward Church Street. The building across the street are left to right 704 Church, and 712 Church both of which are still present in 2021.
