Bauer House: This house was originally located on the north side of North Street in town block 2 C/E. It was moved to the new location at 518 First Street before construction on the Atheneum had begun. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. This photo shows the main house being pulled east on Church near the corner of Church and East Streets. The house on the right side of the photo is located at 423 East Street.
