Golden House: This building was moved from the plat of 807 Church, what is now 811 Church Street, to one plat west of 723 E. Church Street but has since been demolished, most likely when the house at 707 E. Church was built in 2009. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. This photo shows the house sitting on the new plat. On the right side of the photo is what remained of the Ford and McGregor Electric Light Plant, which was later remodeled as the New Harmony Fire House. Note the old New Harmony water tower, in the background, behind this building.
