Lewis House: This small house was moved from town block 7 E/SW, one plat east of 718 Main Street, to town block 6 C/SW at 312 Steam Mill Street. It was built in 1890 and at some point after 1975 went through a major remodel after it had been moved. This photo shows the house being moved across the empty center plats of town block 7 E. The house is about to be pulled onto Steam Mill Street. The house was moved by Elmer Buchta moving engineers, a company that did most if not all of the moving in New Harmony at this time.
