Historic Photo. Streets Collection: 1913 Flood: On March 24 and 25 of 1913 the Wabash River had produced a large flood, which inundated the town of New Harmony, from torrential rains and storms which had also produced tornados across the mid-west United States. At its height it measured 27 feet 10 inches. This photo shows the corner of Main and Tavern Streets. This was taken from the second floor of Lichtenberger�s store. The photo shows the George Baldwin/ Independent Order of Odd Fellow�s building next door.
