Description
Continental Emsco Company: This building was located on the plat just west of 723 E. Church Street and was dismantled to accommodate the Golden House which was later moved onto this plat. The Continental Emsco Company was incorporated June 4, 1946 in the state of Texas, and dissolution of the company occurred January 31, 1984. The company was in the business of drilling oil wells. This photo shows the inside of the building as it was being dismantled. The old patron counter can be seen in the center of the photo and shelves which held drilling tools can be seen on either side of the photo.
