Golden House: This building was moved from the plat of 807 Church, what is now 811 Church Street, to one plat west of 723 E. Church Street but has since been demolished, most likely when the house at 707 E. Church was built in 2009. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. In this photo construction workers are placing lift chocks next to the street in order to move the house off the original plat. Just to the right of the Golden House can be seen the original house located at 819 Church Street which was later demolished or moved.
