TY - GEN N2 - Kemmerling House: The Kemmerling House was relocated from town Block 4 J/SE to the new location at 611 Church Street, beside the Beal House. The Kemmerling House was remodeled into the 1850s Doctor's Office, a gift to the town of New Harmony from Mead Johnson. The Kemmerlings were listed in the 1882 Posey County Directory (as Kimmerlin) as being New Harmony Township farmers. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. In this photo two construction workers are installing new clapboards on the north, front, side of the house.
