The Jaquess House: This is a photo of the Jaquess House, from which the parlor was taken, was moved from somewhere near Poseyville. It was then taken through a field to near the edge of a highway where it was dismantled. The parlor was then incorporated into the Owen House on the corner of Tavern and Brewery Streets in town block 6 E east. This is the refinished parlor after being incorporated into the 1830 Owen House. The designs on the walls are painted on with stencils cut in period patterns that match the exposed part on the right side of the wall where traces of the original can still be seen.
