The Kemmerling House was remodeled into the 1850s Doctor's Office, a gift to the town of New Harmony from Mead Johnson. The Kemmerlings were listed in the 1882 Posey County Directory (as Kimmerlin) as being New Harmony Township farmers. Elmer Buchta Moving Engineers was contracted for this and many other building moves during the 1970s. This photo shows the pharmacy counter in the 1850s Doctor's Office. Note the shelves full of nineteenth century pharmaceutical chemicals and the row of mortar and pestles on the bottom shelf. 001552441 542__ $$fhttp://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC-NC/1.0/ 001552441 6531_ $$aBinder 18 001552441 6531_ $$aTown Map 5F 001552441 6531_ $$aCommunal Studies 001552441 6531_ $$aPhotographs 001552441 6531_ $$aRegional History 001552441 6531_ $$aRelated Materials -- n.d. 001552441 655__ $$aColor Slide 001552441 691__ $$aIndiana 001552441 7001_ $$aHistoric New Harmony 001552441 8564_ $$92a3489e2-4458-4502-bb3d-fa804523083d$$s3496793$$uhttps://library.usi.edu/record/1552441/files/6021.jp2 001552441 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:1552441$$pGLOBAL_SET 001552441 914__ $$ap17218coll9 001552441 980__ $$aHistoric New Harmony Slide Collection 001552441 984__ $$aHistoric New Harmony Slide Collection 001552441 985__ $$aImage
