From December 7, 1940 to June 6, 1941, some 419 high explosive bombs were dropped in Hammersmith and Fulham during World War II. (http://www.bombsight.org/explore/greater-london/hammersmith-and-fulham/) Charles M. LaFollette was member of the U.S. House of Representatives, from the state of Indiana, from 1943-1947. In 1947 he served as deputy chief of counsel for war crimes in the Nuremberg war trials.
