Abstract

The scope of this project is to design and build an automated stamping cell using a robot. The project includes designing and building a vacuum system and a bracket to bold and position the suction cups, as well as, design the layout of the stamping cell based on the already existing layout. The robot will be programmed to load and reposition parts from die to die and unload parts from the press onto a conveyor where the part will be dropped into a basket. This project is to allow the customer to level out production and increase capacity, especially during the busy season.
