Abstract
The purpose of this project was to design bass guitar effects circuits and integrate them into the body of the guitar to alleviate the need for an external pedalboard as well as reduce manufacturing costs. The effects chosen for this project were an octaver, distortion, and a compressor. Additionally, signal manipulation was desired to alter the bass’s output. To do this, a preamplifier and a tuner were designed to alter the signal via the user interface. In integrating these effects and manipulating the output signal, the need for external pedalboards will be lessened and thus reducing the cost and physical weight of the setup.
