Summary
A history of Saundersville, Indiana from its founding in 1819 through 1863. Although it was a thriving community of English, Scottish and Irish immigrants for a time, when Evansville was named the county seat, Saundersville declined in population as its residents moved to more cultured Evansville. Includes correspondence of members of the Ingles family. The Ingles family later adopted the spelling of Ingalls.
