Note
"Inland dunes in the Southeastern United States represent periods of low precipitation and (or) monsoon conditions with persistent and (or) recurrent West and Southwest winds. Geomorphic position, stratigraphic position, and C-14 ages suggest that the most recent period of dune formation began some time after 15 ka and ended between 5 and 3 ka."
