The present edition includes only the psalms given in Anglo-Saxon metrical translation (Psalms 51-150)
The Anglo-Saxon metrical portions of Alfred the Great's translation of "de consolatione philosophiae" of Boethius is from three manuscripts: Ms/ Cotton Otho A. VI, in the British Museum, Ms. Bodley 180, and Mx. Junius 12, in the Bodleian Library. The authorship of the Anglo-Saxon meters if Boethius is not definitely determined, but evidences lead to assigning the work to Alfred the Great.
