When complete (fourteen volumes are currently envisaged), the edition will include all of Kant's published writings and a generous selection of his unpublished writings such as the Opus postumum, handschriftliche Nachlass, lectures, and correspondence. This volume collects for the first time in a single volume all of Kant's writings on religion and rational theology. These works were written during a period of conflict between Kant and the Prussian authorities over his religious teachings. His final statement on religion was made after the death of King Frederick William II in 1797. The historical context and progression of this conflict are charted in the general introduction to the volume and in the translators' introductions to particular texts. 000336297 5208_ $$aAll the translations are new with the exception of The Conflict of the Faculties, where the translation has been revised and re-edited to conform to the guidelines of the Cambridge Edition. As is standard with all volumes in this edition, there are copious linguistic and explanatory notes, and a glossary of key terms. 000336297 546__ $$aTranslated from the German. 000336297 5831_ $$acommited to retain$$c20150501$$dretention period not specified$$fALI SP$$5InES 000336297 650_0 $$aReligion$$xPhilosophy. 000336297 650_0 $$aTheology. 000336297 650_0 $$aReason. 000336297 7001_ $$aWood, Allen W. 000336297 7001_ $$aDi Giovanni, George,$$d1935- 000336297 8001_ $$aKant, Immanuel,$$d1724-1804.$$tWorks.$$lEnglish.$$f1992. 000336297 85200 $$bgen$$hB2799.R4$$iK3613$$i2001 000336297 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:336297$$pGLOBAL_SET 000336297 980__ $$aBIB 000336297 980__ $$aBOOK
