The strategic communication component developed for this project included the use of formative research about values and attitudes with respect to child rearing, in order to develop and test effective messages. The communication strategy was developed in a highly participatory manner and included nurturing a team of champions for the project among policymakers, district officials, community leaders, and grassroots organizations to advocate for the project. It also included two-way communication activities developed to address the practices and behaviors that would need to be changed in order for the project to be successful, rather than merely disseminating messages based on assumptions of project benefits. 000405984 650_0 $$aHealth promotion$$zUganda. 000405984 650_0 $$aMalnutrition in children$$zUganda$$xPrevention. 000405984 650_0 $$aEconomic assistance$$zUganda. 000405984 650_0 $$aHealth, Nutrition, and Population. 000405984 650_0 $$aSocial and Cultural Issues. 000405984 655_7 $$aElectronic books.$$2lcsh 000405984 830_0 $$aWorld Bank working paper ;$$vno. 59. 000405984 852__ $$bebk 000405984 85640 $$3ProQuest Ebook Central Academic Complete$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://site.ebrary.com/lib/usiricelib/Doc?id=10082383$$zOnline Access 000405984 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:405984$$pGLOBAL_SET 000405984 980__ $$aEBOOK 000405984 980__ $$aBIB 000405984 982__ $$aEbook 000405984 983__ $$aOnline
