Summary
Part one visits the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, examining the Egyptian Pharaoh Taharqa's temple shrine from Nubia, the octopus jar from the ancient palace of Minos, the Alfred Jewel, and Renaissance artist Paolo Uccello's Hunt by night. Part two takes the viewer to the Fitzwilliam Museum at Cambridge University, and examines the 13th century Gothic manuscript that once belonged to the sister of Louis IX of France, Titian's Tarquin and Lucretia, a 3,000-year-old set of Egyptian coffins, and Degas' At the café.
