Very seasonable for these times; wherein wicked men, under pretence of liberty of conscience, take liberty to sin and blaspheme. The heart is deccitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it? I the Lord search the heart, and try the reins; even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the sruit of his doings, Jer. xvii 6, 10 Unto the pure all things are pure; but to them that are defiled and unbelieving, is nothing pure: but even their mind and conscience is defiled, Tit. i. 15.
