A different setting of type from the other edition of 1794, with the same engraved titlepages and frontispiece portrait and with the addition of an 'Advertisement to the reader' in vol. 1.
In this edition, vol. 1, p. [10], last line reads: "Or whether you've .." and there is no press figure on p. 70; the pagination to vol. 2: [2],416,409-487,[7]p. and that to vol. 3: [2],224,223-237,240,233-423,[7]p., with the text and register in both volumes being continuous, despite the pagination.
A fourth volume of 'The works' was published by John Walker in 1796 and a fifth in 1801.
