The Believer's Soliloquy: Especially when in Affliction and Desertion, complaining of his own evil Heart, & longing to be Above, where he shall sin no more Part VI. The Believer's Principles: especially concerning the Law and the Gospel, &c. Rom. vii. 4. Wherefore my Brethren, ye also are become dead to the Law by the Body of Christ, that ye should be married to another, even to Him who is raised from the Dead, that ye should bring forth Fruit unto God. 2 Cor. xi. 2, 3. For I am jealous over you with a godly Jealousy; For I have espoused you to one Husband, that I may present you a chast Virgin to Christ. But I fear lest by any Means, as the Serpent beguiled Eve through his Subtilty. so your Minds should be corrupted from the Simplicity that is in Christ. 1 Cor. xiii. 12. For now we see thro' a Glass darkly, or in a Riddle. 1 Cor. ii. 7. But we speak the Wisdom of God in a Mystery. By Mr. Ralph Erskine, Minister of the Gospel at Dunfermline.
