However, the eclipse notes, calculations, and notes on the calendar pages do not resemble those in West's North-American calendar for 1783 (Providence), whereas they contain frequent correspondences or similarities with Nathan Daboll's The New-England almanack and gentleman's and lady's diary for the same year, published at New London under the pseudonym of Edmund Freebetter, such as to suggest a common authorship.
