An abridgment of Chapter 10 of the author's: An historical account of the incorporated Society for the Propagation of the Gospel in Foreign Parts, printed London, 1730.
Negation of the date of imprint as 1730 is provided by a footnote on p. 40 which cites Edmund Burke's An account of the European settlements in America which was first printed in London, 1757; actual date of publication of 1768 can be supplied from a mention of a slave revolt in the island of Monserrat on p. 42 which occurred in the year 1768.
