Wherein he reminds them of the great success of the Gospel, in the former field-meetings; sets before them their sad decay under the false liberty of indulgence; warns them of the hazard of continuing to joyn in that course; and danger of taking perjurious oaths; and of paying cess for strengthning the hands of persecuters: vindicates the suffering remnant from the charge of seperation, and despising presbyterian government; displays the tyranny of some meetings of indulged ministers, and exhorts the people to repentance, and relinquishing these courses.
