The 'Memoires', two volumes, each with separate titlepage, are a forgery by an unknown author.
The 'Lettres', three volumes, each with separate titlepage, are attributed to François de Barbé-Marbois.
The imprint from individual titlepages reads "A Londres, chez G. Owen; & T. Cadell", 1772 (the second volume of the 'Memoires' has "Catell").
The Londres imprint is false; probably printed in Leipzig (Leipziger Messkatalog Michaelismesse 1772, p.466: 'à Leipsic, chez Fr. G. Jacobæer').
