The "annexed letter" was on the subject of the Corporation and Text Acts and was entitled: 'At a meeting of Protestant dissenters, of different denominations, in the town and neighbourhood of Bolton, on the 17th of December 1789, ..'.
The letter concludes with a blank space for insertion of the signature (after the printed "Churchwarden and Chairman"): John Poole junr.
