The announcement of the robbery is dated and signed: Given under my hand the 15th day of March, 1779. William Fairbrother. Treasurer to the Association.
At foot of the announcement is a declaration by the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland that a pardon will be given to whoever betrays the men involved in the robbery, the declaration, signed: Tho. Waite, is dated at head: Dublin Castle, 16th March, 1779.
