Note
Attacking Sir Cecil Wray ("Judas Iscariot"), a candidate for Westminster, in the 1784 parliamentary elections, who was defeated, but demanded a scrutiny. It was not until 3rd March 1785 that the poll return was made and Lord Hood and Charles James Fox ("Man of the people"), the other candidates, were declared duly elected.
