The synod adopted the Platform in 1648. The date was incorrectly given as 1649 in the first edition (Holmes 51-A) and the error repeated in subsequent editions.
Includes resolutions adopted at the Synod at Boston, Sept. 10, 1679, and at the general meeting of ministers in Boston, May 27, 1697.
"A confession of faith, owned and consented unto by the elders and messengers of the churches assembled at Boston in New-England, May 12. 1680. Being the second session of that Synod."--[2], iv, 53 p. at end, with separate title page. Recorded separately by Evans (entry 7850) but evidenly not so issued.
