Attributed to Bowen in Nichols, Charles L. "Notes on the almanacs of Massachusetts." Proc. Amer. Antiq. Soc., n.s. 22 (1912): 30. Publisher's note at end reads: "The printer not having a sufficient quantity of characters, is the reason why the Planet's Places are not set down in this almanack. They were prepared and send to the press as usual by the author." This refers to the column entitled "Planets places" customarily found on the calendar pages of Bowen's almanacs. The conjunctions of planets always included in the column of notes on these pages are found in the present issue.
