Possibly written by Oxenbridge Thacher. The supplement to the Boston evening post, Dec. 1, 1766, states that Thacher wrote a "judicious pamphlet" on this subject five years ago when the issue was before the General Court. No other likely pamphlet has been discovered and the style is similar to that of Thacher's other writings.
