This was particularly stimulated by the availability of new datasets generated from improvements in analytical methods and flux measurement techniques. Recent research advances allow us, not only to identify major mechanisms and factors affecting the exchanges between the biosphere and the atmosphere, but also to recognize several gaps in the methodologies used in accounting for emissions and deposition in landscape and global scale models. This work aims at (i) reviewing exchange processes and modelling schemes, parameterisations and datasets, (ii) presenting a common conceptual framework to model soil-vegetation-atmosphere exchange of reactive trace gases and aerosols accounting for in-canopy transfer chemical interactions and (iii) discussing the key elements of the agreed framework. . 000728271 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed July 22, 2015). 000728271 650_0 $$aAir$$xPollution$$xMathematical models. 000728271 650_0 $$aBiosphere. 000728271 650_0 $$aAtmospheric aerosols. 000728271 7001_ $$aMassad, Raia-Silva,$$eeditor. 000728271 7001_ $$aLoubet, Benjamin,$$eeditor. 000728271 852__ $$bebk 000728271 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-94-017-7285-3$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 000728271 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:728271$$pGLOBAL_SET 000728271 980__ $$aEBOOK 000728271 980__ $$aBIB 000728271 982__ $$aEbook 000728271 983__ $$aOnline 000728271 994__ $$a92$$bISE
