The book offers an overview on land use planning regarding the aspects of urban flooding, urban climate, urban energy and urban mobility as well as spatial views from the angle of urban planning such as the metropolitan level, the city, the neighbourhood and building level. It shows that to a significant degree, measures dealing with climate change can be taken from the toolbox of sustainable urban development and reflects how institutional structures need to change to enhance chances for implementation given socio-cultural and economic constraints. This is merged and integrated into a holistic perspective of planning recommendations, supporting the municipal government to increase its adaptive capacity. The authors are members of a German government funded research project on how to support HCMCℓ́ℓs municipal government to adapt to risks related to climate change. 000752697 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (viewed December 9, 2015) 000752697 650_0 $$aUrban ecology (Sociology) 000752697 650_0 $$aSustainable development. 000752697 650_0 $$aEnvironmental degradation. 000752697 651_0 $$aHo Chi Minh City (Vietnam)$$xGrowth$$xEnvironmental aspects. 000752697 7001_ $$aKatzschner, Antje,$$eeditor. 000752697 7001_ $$aWaibel, Michael,$$eeditor. 000752697 7001_ $$aSchwede, Dirk,$$eeditor. 000752697 7001_ $$aKatzschner, Lutz,$$eeditor. 000752697 7001_ $$aSchmidt, Michael,$$eeditor. 000752697 7001_ $$aStorch, Harry,$$eeditor. 000752697 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aKatzschner, Antje$$tSustainable Ho Chi Minh City: Climate Policies for Emerging Mega Cities$$dCham : Springer International Publishing,c2015$$z9783319046143 000752697 852__ $$bebk 000752697 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-319-04615-0$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 000752697 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:752697$$pGLOBAL_SET 000752697 980__ $$aEBOOK 000752697 980__ $$aBIB 000752697 982__ $$aEbook 000752697 983__ $$aOnline 000752697 994__ $$a92$$bISE
