The conference was composed by three co-located conferences: The International Conference on Evolutionary Computation Theory and Applications (ECTA), the International Conference on Fuzzy Computation Theory and Applications (FCTA), and the International Conference on Neural Computation Theory and Applications (NCTA). Recent progresses in scientific developments and applications in these three areas are reported in this book. IJCCI received 111 submissions, from 30 countries, in all continents. After a double blind paper review performed by the Program Committee, only 24 submissions were accepted as full papers and thus selected for oral presentation, leading to a full paper acceptance ratio of 22%. Additional papers were accepted as short papers and posters. A further selection was made after the Conference, based also on the assessment of presentation quality and audience interest, so that this book includes the extended and revised versions of the very best papers of IJCCI 2013. Commitment to high quality standards is a major concern of IJCCI that will be maintained in the next editions, considering not only the stringent paper acceptance ratios but also the quality of the program committee, keynote lectures, participation level and logistics. 000752855 650_0 $$aComputational intelligence$$vCongresses. 000752855 650_0 $$aEngineering. 000752855 650_0 $$aArtificial intelligence. 000752855 650_0 $$aComputational intelligence. 000752855 7001_ $$aMadani, Kurosh,$$eeditor. 000752855 7001_ $$aDourado, António,$$eeditor. 000752855 7001_ $$aRosa, Agostinho,$$eeditor. 000752855 7001_ $$aFilipe, Joaquim,$$eeditor. 000752855 7001_ $$aKacprzyk, Janusz,$$eeditor. 000752855 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z9783319233918 000752855 830_0 $$aStudies in computational intelligence ;$$v613. 000752855 852__ $$bebk 000752855 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-319-23392-5$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 000752855 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:752855$$pGLOBAL_SET 000752855 980__ $$aEBOOK 000752855 980__ $$aBIB 000752855 982__ $$aEbook 000752855 983__ $$aOnline 000752855 994__ $$a92$$bISE
