The political and security relationship has been increasingly deteriorating against the high interdependency between the world's second and third largest economies. More ironically, both sides have also shown the intent and made efforts to improve bilateral ties. The author systematically conducts a focused comparison of the evolution of the Sino-Japanese mutual perceptions and policies toward one another during the past decade and a half. Empirically, Yun Zhang closely examines five case studies that provide insights to IR students and scholars and policy makers on how misperception and mistrust have formed, replicated, and intensified. 000778163 650_0 $$aInternational relations. 000778163 651_0 $$aChina$$xForeign relations$$zJapan. 000778163 651_0 $$aJapan$$xForeign relations$$zChina. 000778163 651_0 $$aChina$$xForeign relations$$zUnited States. 000778163 651_0 $$aUnited States$$xForeign relations$$zChina. 000778163 651_0 $$aJapan$$xForeign relations$$zUnited States. 000778163 651_0 $$aUnited States$$xForeign relations$$zJapan. 000778163 77608 $$iPrint version:$$aZhang, Yun (International relations).$$tSino-Japanese relations in a trilateral context.$$dNew York : Palgrave Macmillan, [2017]$$z1137503343$$w(DLC) 2016958211$$w(OCoLC)952154731 000778163 852__ $$bebk 000778163 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://link.springer.com/10.1057/978-1-137-50335-0$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 000778163 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:778163$$pGLOBAL_SET 000778163 980__ $$aEBOOK 000778163 980__ $$aBIB 000778163 982__ $$aEbook 000778163 983__ $$aOnline 000778163 994__ $$a92$$bISE
