It also highlights the analyses, dynamics and long-term observations of storms on the basis of numerous cartographic materials and satellite images. Dust/sand storms are a common and important phenomenon in the arid and semi-arid regions of Kazakhstan, especially in its southern parts, where areas are covered by a great variety of deserts and offer a significant source of mineral and salt aerosols. The deserts of Kazakhstan mostly cover lowlands and extend from the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea to the piedmonts of the Tien-Shan Mountain. In Kazakhstan, desertification processes due to wind erosion in the form of dust/sand storms were observed in semi-desert and desert landscapes. 000778956 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (SpringerLink, viewed January 17, 2017). 000778956 650_0 $$aEolian processes$$zAsia, Central. 000778956 650_0 $$aEolian processes$$zKazakhstan. 000778956 7001_ $$aAbuduwaili, Jilili,$$eauthor. 000778956 77608 $$iPrint version:$$z9789811031892 000778956 830_0 $$aEnvironmental science and engineering (Springer (Firm)) 000778956 852__ $$bebk 000778956 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-981-10-3190-8$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 000778956 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:778956$$pGLOBAL_SET 000778956 980__ $$aEBOOK 000778956 980__ $$aBIB 000778956 982__ $$aEbook 000778956 983__ $$aOnline 000778956 994__ $$a92$$bISE
