Binet had empirically found that his idea of a test of general intelligence could be replaced by a test on "problem areas". These problem areas were then to be specifically addressed and improved within a relatively short time. As a result, students dramatically improved in their IQ test results. Binet died before he could publish the results. Fortunately, the rector of the school, Victor Vaney, published the results of Binet's experiments in his school. This volume provides the first English translation of Vaney's publication as well as an introduction to Binet's mostly forgotten late work. 000827612 588__ $$aOnline resource; title from PDF title page (viewed December 13, 2017). 000827612 60010 $$aBinet, Alfred,$$d1857-1911. 000827612 650_0 $$aEducational psychology$$zFrance. 000827612 650_0 $$aIntelligence tests$$zFrance. 000827612 7001_ $$aTestelin, John,$$eauthor. 000827612 7001_ $$aMartin-Hansen, Lisa M.,$$eauthor. 000827612 7001_ $$aSiemsen, Karl Hayo,$$eauthor. 000827612 7001_ $$aAndrieu, Bernard,$$d1959-$$eauthor. 000827612 7001_ $$aFèvre, Jean-Marie,$$eauthor. 000827612 77608 $$iPrint version: $$z9783319519937 000827612 830_0 $$aSpringerBriefs in education. 000827612 852__ $$bebk 000827612 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=http://link.springer.com/10.1007/978-3-319-51994-4$$zOnline Access$$91397441.1 000827612 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:827612$$pGLOBAL_SET 000827612 980__ $$aEBOOK 000827612 980__ $$aBIB 000827612 982__ $$aEbook 000827612 983__ $$aOnline 000827612 994__ $$a92$$bISE
