A mixed methods approach, including direct observation and semi-structured interviews, is employed to address the area of enquiry. Results show a lack of clarity of course goals. Although there is a firm emphasis on suprasegmental instruction, in semi-structured interviews, teachers report a lack of clear course goals and guidance. Assessment and practice do not always adhere to a goal of intelligibility, and support for teachers, in terms of the materials and how they might be exploited seems limited. The book concludes with tentative recommendations on how suprasegmental instruction might be facilitated on EAP and other courses. 000943742 650_0 $$aEnglish language$$xPronunciation$$xStudy and teaching. 000943742 650_0 $$aEnglish language$$xPronunciation by foreign speakers. 000943742 77608 $$iPrint version: $$z3030561151$$z9783030561154$$w(OCoLC)1164491130 000943742 830_0 $$aSecond language learning and teaching. 000943742 852__ $$bebk 000943742 85640 $$3SpringerLink$$uhttps://univsouthin.idm.oclc.org/login?url=https://dx.doi.org/10.1007/978-3-030-56116-1$$zOnline Access 000943742 909CO $$ooai:library.usi.edu:943742$$pGLOBAL_SET 000943742 980__ $$aEBOOK 000943742 980__ $$aBIB 000943742 982__ $$aEbook 000943742 983__ $$aOnline 000943742 994__ $$a92$$bISE
